i've been gone for a while, right?


i've got a question for you...

what are you doing for christmas?


this year's been a remarkable one, i've been blessed with meeting so many new people and experiencing so much in such a short span of time... and usually when the year comes to a closing i tend to just reflect, sit back, relax and wind down until the new year, but this year is different.


last year around this time, i wanted to host a charity event, but my dreams were bigger than my tools, and i couldn't make it to the finish line.


but i don't want that to happen again.


i woke up today and decided that i was going to make it work.


there are thousands of you.


there's one of me.


i think that's enough people to make a positive change, right?


well. to sum it all up. i've done a little research, and i stumbled across a charity group based in North London. they offer care to orphans, troubled mothers, families who can't make ends meet, they're a wonderful organisation. i read on the website that they're always looking for volunteers, but since i don't know where i'll be in the next year or so and my schedule is always rammed, i can't exactly make the 2 hr a week obligation to become a fully fledged volunteer (if you can, that's great).


BUT! i also read that they're also always interested in people with special talents, artists / musicians, performers, to come and entertain the children...


as soon as i read that, i thought..... hey! maybe i can make something happen. i've got a huge network of people i've barely scratched the surface of tapping into, and i think i can make it work.


i figure, since i can't meet the obligation for the hours, maybe if i pull together something amazing, they can make an exception and still let me volunteer in the holidays and when i have time to..... so i'm thinking, let's do this together.


i want to put together a showcase, big or small, of artists / musicians / performers for christmas this year. i think it'd be a great opportunity and such a fulfilling experience for everyone involved.

the plans aren't definite, i haven't gotten confirmation that this is even certainly possible, but i feel like if i come up with a solid enough offering, we can make it happen.
